KNIGHT OWL GATHERING

****************

The Knight Owls are a group of guys who have known each other through grammar school, junior high, high school, scouting and church activities.  They described themselves as guys who went out for coffee and dessert after church.  Most of the girls who joined them were from the class of 1962.

On April 21 - 25, 2010, twenty-three classmates from the classes of 1961 and 1962 met at Lake Junaluska, NC for a Knight Owl Reunion.  We arrived and left at different times, but we were together long enough to renew our friendships, catch up on families, reminisce about careers and the joys of retirement (for some).

The long weekend allowed for lots of time to visit. We all got together for several meals, with a planned dinner on Fri night.  Many of us wandered to the Biltmore Village in Asheville on Friday and met for lunch. There were even some who walked the two miles around Lake Junaluska. On Saturday some went to tour the Biltmore house, while others headed home after breakfast at Shoney's.
