A widower as well as a cancer survivor, Dr. Morris understands the need for a strong prayer life with an emphasis on personal relationship and intimacy with the Lord Jesus Christ. Doc and Tesa, a breast cancer survivor herself,  prayerfully negotiate their time between work, hobbies, numerous children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dr. Morris has a great love for the study of the word of God and through writing  SEVEN FOUNTAINS OF LOVE: The Cross of Christ,  seeks to encourage and inspire the reader through a brief examination of the cross using an abundance of scripture, combined with historical, as well as medical details concerning Christ's ultimate sacrifice on the cross. As a man of science by profession, Dr. Morris examines the evidence of the crucifixion compelling the reader to develop an intimate relationship with Christ, the Great Physician and giver of eternal life.
